Fashion Fridays – Pearls and Swine

17 Aug

I am so excited to annouce my new weekly feature, Fashion Fridays! I will be featuring different independant companies and trends that I adore. The first company I am featuring is Pearls and Swine.

Based in the UK, these equistite, ornate, incredibly well made handcrafted fascinators, millinery, vintage style headpieces and bridal headwear have been on my wishlist for quite some time! Not only do they offer hair accessories, hats and beautifully unique headwear, they also offer eyepatches, necklaces, merkins, shoe clips and masks.

I have always had a soft spot for eyepatches and the ones from Pearls and Swine make that spot even softer.

My personal favorites are the half mask fascinators they make. The craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into each one makes these stunning creations something I drool over a lot.

This has been on my wishlist for so long!

I, like a lot of pinups, have a deep rooted love for anything tropical and this kitschy pineapple fascinator would be a great addition to any pinup’s tiki wardrobe!

Here are a couple more examples of what Pearls and Swine offers. They are all so whimsical and remind me of something out of a fairytale.

If you’d like to see more of these incredible designs (there is a lot more!), or to order something, visit their website here: http://www.pearlsandswine.co.uk

Check back next week for another Fashion Fridays feature!

J Cervantes Photography

25 Jan

I have been working with J Cervantes Photography (based in Phoenix, Arizona) to build my modeling portfolio for a while and wanted to share a couple of my favorite photos from shoots with her. Jessica is so nice, she is punctual, professional, great at making you feel comfortable and fun to work with. I love her ability and willingness to think outside of the box and try new things. She is a versatile photographer and works on many different types of photos (not just pin-up!). On top of all of that, her rates are very reasonable! You can see more of her work and get contact information on her website: http://www.jcervantesphotography.com/ and while you’re at it, this is her Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/J-Cervantes-Photography/161567537204261?v=wall

All hair and make up was done by me.
